Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund
The Future Made in Australia (FMA) Innovation Fund (the Program) administered by ARENA will provide up to $1.5 billion in grant funding to support pre-commercial innovation, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and low emission technologies (Technologies), to support Australia’s transition to a net zero economy. FMA is an ongoing program which will remain open until funding is exhausted or ARENA closes the Program.

Australian businesses are navigating ongoing disruption from global fuel supply instability and supply chain pressures, particularly across freight, logistics, and export sectors. The government is providing relief through interest-free loans under the Economic Resilience Program, a temporary 32c/L fuel excise cut, and reduced heavy vehicle charges to ease operating costs. Additional support includes Interest Free Loans, Flexible tax arrangements from the Australian Taxation Office and improved access to credit, alongside new rules from the Fair Work Commission on fuel cost recovery.

Home Energy Saver helps lower the upfront cost of these technologies, making energy saving upgrades possible for eligible households.
New Battery Incentives for NSW Businesses
Now is the perfect time to explore battery storage and take advantage of new incentives designed to help NSW businesses lower energy costs and improve energy security! NSW businesses will soon be able to access significant discounts on battery storage systems through the Batteries for businesses incentive | NSW Climate and Energy Action. From 1 September 2026, eligible businesses can receive upfront discounts of approximately 20% to 40% on battery installation costs, helping to reduce energy bills, improve energy resilience, and maximise the benefits of onsite solar.
