The Transitioning Workforce Fund helps communities, business, industries, governments and unions to address local concerns and build local capability in priority regions. The fund is intended to be flexible and responsive, and to support a range of workforce transition initiatives to help workers and communities adapt to change. This program aims to support eligible businesses that are interested in piloting a few battery electric vehicles (BEVs) or for smaller fleets that want to start their electrification journey. It forms part of the EV Fleets Incentive program which supports fleet managers to transition their passenger vehicles (PVs), sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), therefore lowering emissions across the State. The program supports organisations to transition to EVs by providing financial assistance for up to 15 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and smart charging ports in total, across all rounds and allocations of the EV fleets incentive.

The Future Made in Australia (FMA) Innovation Fund (the Program) administered by ARENA will provide up to $1.5 billion in grant funding to support pre-commercial innovation, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and low emission technologies (Technologies), to support Australia’s transition to a net zero economy. FMA is an ongoing program which will remain open until funding is exhausted or ARENA closes the Program.

CSIRO manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including the screening of applications and candidates.

The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Small & Vital stream gives small remote, rural and regional communities across Australia the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

The Advancing Renewables Program supports a range of development, demonstration and pre-commercial deployment projects. This includes opportunities to optimise the transition to renewable electricity, commercialise clean hydrogen and support the transition to low emissions metals.

This program aims to engage, match and connect talented tertiary students with paid internship opportunities at workplaces that are helping NSW to achieve net zero. It provides businesses with access to a high-quality pool of tertiary student interns who are ready to contribute to the workplace’s decarbonisation project goals.

Home Energy Saver helps lower the upfront cost of these technologies, making energy saving upgrades possible for eligible households.

Now is the perfect time to explore battery storage and take advantage of new incentives designed to help NSW businesses lower energy costs and improve energy security! NSW businesses will soon be able to access significant discounts on battery storage systems through the Batteries for businesses incentive | NSW Climate and Energy Action. From 1 September 2026, eligible businesses can receive upfront discounts of approximately 20% to 40% on battery installation costs, helping to reduce energy bills, improve energy resilience, and maximise the benefits of onsite solar.
