Events + Workshops

Real stories. Great conversations. New connections. Join us for Breaking Ground, bringing together women in trades, apprentices and trainees, employers and industry for a relaxed and engaging Mas Meets event. Hear from a panel of people with real experience across trades and industry as they share their stories, perspectives and practical insights into what helps women enter the trades, build confidence and create rewarding careers. We will explore the opportunities, the challenges, what great support looks like and how employers, apprentices and industry can continue to create positive change. And just as importantly – there will be plenty of time to connect. Enjoy a light breakfast while meeting other apprentices, employers and industry representatives, sharing ideas and building new connections.

Join Singleton Mayor, Councillors and staff for an update on Council’s plans for our community after the bypass opens. We want to hear from you, our business community, on how we can not only continue to operate, but thrive post bypass. The $700 million Singleton Bypass is more than a road. Its true success will be measured by how our community can capitalise on the opportunities it creates, working together with other levels of government to shape a shared vision for our future growth.

This Network is a continuation of the former Singleton Advisory Network, led by the former Singleton Skills and Employment Program; This has now been expanded to encompass Cessnock, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter LGAs. The intention of this network is to collaboratively work together to ensure school leavers, job seekers and community across Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter Local Government Areas are supported in accessing secure and meaningful training and employment pathways.
